Technical Running Shirts for the first 1,400 1/2 Marathon and 5K Entrants!

The Greater Danbury Half Marathon & 5K will once again be presented by the Housatonic Valley Sports Organizing Committee. The event, staged from War Memorial in Danbury's Rogers Park, is in its 6th year and includes a Half Marathon, 5K and 1/2 mile kids run. The Savings Bank of Danbury Children's Run will start at 10:00 am, the Half Marathon will start at 10:20 am and the 5K race will start at 10:30 am.
 
The Half Marathon (CT05004PH) and 5K (CT05002PH) are run on certified courses. The scenic 1/2 marathon loop course runs through Danbury, Bethel and Redding. The 5K and kids run courses are run entirely within Danbury. To view 5k course map and the 1/2 marathon course map you must have Adobe Reader. This year the Savings Bank of Danbury Children's Run will be timed!

Shower and changing facilities are available inside the War Memorial. Aid stations will be approximately every two miles along the 1/2 marathon course. There will be one aid station on the 5K course. There will be two bands on the 1/2 marathon race course and one in the finish area. 

Gatorade available at 6 of the events 7 aid stations. GU Gel available at the 9 mile aid station.

Awards will be given to top three race finishers in each age category for both races.  Divisions are Men & Women, 12 & under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+ (1st only). 

Directions:
Waterbury: 84 West to exit 5. Right at end of exit. Straight on Main St. approximately 2 miles to War Memorial in Rogers Park.

From Westchester & Putnam Counties - 84 East to exit 5.  Straight at stop sign.  At first light right onto Main St.  Approximately 1.5 miles to War Memorial in Rogers Park.
